7th Grade Native American Project

Due date: Thursday, October 16th, 2008

Task: With a group, or individually, choose a Native American tribe

Part 1: Web page
* On your web page post a 6 paragraph essay on the tribe you have chosen
* Each member of the group will create their own page and write their own essay researching 3 of the following topics:
- the area and environment the tribe lived in
- farming techniques
- war
- weapons
- shelter
- hardships
- customs and traditions
- art
- the tribe today
- treatment by the U.S. government
* The essay will be graded on grammar, content, and effort. Be sure not to plagiarize. Sources will be checked.
* Include images, polls, or other extras to your page. Each addition to your page will assist your grade.

Part 2: Presentation
*Each group will present their webpages in class.
* Each member of the group will describe their page, describe images, and be able to answer questions on their topics.
